How does your CTR compare?

This morning's eMarketer article, "Have Click Rates Finally Stopped Declining?" takes a look at a broad range of global CTR's sourced by MediaMind, an online marketing company. We think that eMarketer might be making a bit of difficult comparison here as Media Mind's study likely takes their "smart" platform into consideration when determining average CTR across the globe. Nonetheless, here are their findings.
We believe these CTR's are actually lower than can be expected from a well designed campaign, but as a global average, certainly this study will take in to account more saturated markets like major retail, etc.
If you're looking to jump into online advertising we would definitely recommend a more diverse campaign - while display ads are powerful tools for branding, they don't meet the immediate sales needs of most businesses. Contact us for more information.
